Oh happy new hair!  Just this weekend I bit the bullet and got my long (dry, over-processed, basically knackered) hair cut into a shiny new lob.  I'm totes in love with my new hair and my new stylist.  Teresa Peh is  stylist on the Perth scene and I'm betting you're going to be seeing a lot more of her very soon.
It takes a hairdresser with guts to suggest that you lose a whole foot of hair in one sitting, but that's exactly what Teresa did.  After a lengthy consultation at her Subiaco salon, we decided together that a drastic change of look would do me the world of good, and my hair too.  Having spent too long dragging my hair into an oversized bun, it was looking and feeling very unloved.
In the chair (after a delicious head massage and badly needed conditioning treatment), Teresa sculpted my hair into its new shape - I use the term sculpted as cut doesn't quite hit the mark.  She styled, and restyled and played with it until my unruly curls bowed into submission.
Although I'd like to keep Teresa all to myself, I'm going to share with you a little about her.  If you're in the need of a hair makeover or just a damn good blow out for a night on the town, Teresa's your girl.  Tell her I sent you :)

Where can we find you in Perth?
At The Collective Hair Artistry in Subiaco Square. Drop me a line on 0458 842 926 or email

What's your hair speciality?

I love all areas of hairdressing from colouring, cutting and hair styling. If I have to pick one, my hair specialty is hair styling for events and photo shoots.

If you could do any celebrity's hair, who would it be and what would you do to them?

FKA Twigs also know by Tahliah Debrett Barnett - she has great style from head to toe and can pull off any look with a twist. I would love to style her with hair wigs and completely transform her image.

What can we see next from you?

You'll see more session hair styling work for editorial/creative photoshoots and events.

Check out some of Teresa's editorial work below.

Who's playing who - this photoshoot was done in the models studio apartment in Kensington London, we used every bit of the studio space from the walls, bathroom glass to the fire place. This was my last photoshoot before flying back home to Perth. Hair - Ruby had short bob length with a fringe so I added hair extensions to give length, setting the hair in tight curls to give a bouncy flirty feel, each photo has a different hair style, either kept long, up with a soft braid and short sleek back with a wet look finish. You can view full spread here.

Jada, Rising Model to watch spread - this was my first photoshoot and its about beautiful plus size women. You can check out this spread in the evening standard news and Plus size model magazine. Hair wise I wanted to keep the waves more defined but still flowed softly and with elegance.

I'm completely loving having shorter hair (even though it doesn't look it, it's just long enough to pop into a ponytail for exercising too) and encourage anyone that's thinking of having the chop to just do it!

Did you see my post earlier this week about the five things that you're doing to ruin your hair.  You need to head over and see how you can get your hair back to it's crowning glory.
