Share Your Style Friday Link Up

We made it through another week, woohoo!  This week, my days have been packed with playdates, swimming lessons and more playdates.  The children are all desperate to pack in as many sleepovers as possible before they get back to school which means an ever revolving carousel of other people's kids.  Very lovely, lots of fun and the lie-ins in the morning mean I get a chance to blog.

You might remember last year we ran Fashionomics Friday on the blog - a place to link up all of your fabulous finds that week.  Well, it's back with a twist!  This time, the link up is to encourage you to share you personal style posts.  If you've put yourself out there, blogged about an outfit and and taken some photos, we want to see it.  We don't care if you're a seasoned blogger who shares photos of themselves all the time, or if you're a newbie and just dipping your toes into personal style blogging - link up every Friday and share some fashion love.

I'll be perfectly honest that the reasoning behind this new twist on our Friday link up is to encourage me to do some more outfit shots.  I've slipped into the "can't be arsed" mentality over the past few months and my recent shoots in Bali for Rockmans made me realise that I need to get back on it.  the fact that I've put on weight lately is probably the reason that I'm sharing less photos, but I'm not going to let that stop me anymore.  As an aside, I'm starting an exciting new "lifestyle plan" which I'll be sharing with you, but more of that in the coming weeks.

Ok, so let's do this.

Today I'm sharing one of my favourite dresses that I took on holiday recently.  It's from Rockmans and is pure silk which makes it supremely cool to wear in this heat.  I love the neutral tie dye patterns the delicate gold beading on the neckline.

I've teamed it, for a sneaky night out with hubby, with these gold wedges which were a recent $10 score from Target - can't beat them!  They're just the right height for wearing all day and they come in black too....but I didn't get those as well, honest.

The dress is now on sale online and in store for just $45, so get on it before it sells out!  I'm guessing I'll be pulling this timeless piece out of my closet for the next few summer seasons.

It's your turn!  Link up your most recent (or your favourite) personal style post and share some love with the other linker-uppers.

I can't wait to see your outfits - nosy stylist that I am, haha!

  1. Your dress from Rockman's looks beautifully cool and floaty. Perfect for our summer weather. Loved the shoes you've chosen to go with it. Are they comfy? I have such problems finding comfy shoes these days :)

    1. Thanks Jo, the shoes are fairly comfy though I'm struggling to wear anything except sneakers at the moment as I have plantar fasciitis which causes huge pain in my heels. These shoes are a great height for everyday wear, though.

  6. Super cute frock! And what weight - you look just fine to me - like a real woman. I'm much more likely to get inspired seeing outfit shots featuring real women than stick thin coathangers!
