I'm still standing....

Did you wonder where I went?

Life has been so hectic over the last couple of weeks, so I thought I'd better post a little update of where I've been and why the blog has been so quiet.

Last weekend was the Jonte Event Ready afternoon.  So. Much. Fun.  I'm so grateful to all the people who came along and supported our Frocktober fundraising, and stayed for my style talks, too.

Working with Jonte (and Raychael from Mystery Case, who earns the Event Planner's Crown as far as I'm concerned) was such a pleasure and seeing all the lovely ladies trying on her designs was a fabulous sight.

We raised lots of money, had lots of laughs and gave away some amazing prizes - thanks again to everyone that managed to fit it in to their busy schedules.

Here are a selection of my favourite shots from the day, all taken by the beautiful Samara from Pincarnie Photography.

More than anything, what I take away from the day, is that Perth is a wonderfully supportive place, filled with creatives professionals that will gladly give their time and energy for a worthwhile cause.  I want to give a quick shoutout to our lovely sponsors, without whom the day would never have happened.

I really hope I've remembered everyone!

Jessica Bratich and her amazing bags.

Zamora Shoes with heels to die for.

Kingdom Cupcakes - arguably the best (and prettiest) mini cupcakes in Perth

Teresa Goh, for styling my Year 7 models' hair and making them look (and feel) amazing.

SC Artistry, for getting to the event against all odds and enthralling our Year 7's with the most beautiful ten minute makeover. for beautiful blooms.

Tamara Harrison to providing the ultimate in headpieces, which everyone agrees were simply stunning.

Sunbella for supporting the event and donating two of her awesome parasols as prizes (seen here with two of our most fun guests!)

To my models, Kyles, Jo, Olivia and Sophie - you were absolutely the best.

Pure Glow Cleanse and Homedics NEWA for donating fabulous prizes

On to our next event, then!

I'm going to be running high tea style sessions early in the new year, and would love to pick your brains on what subjects you would be interested in.  "Capsule Closets" is one that I've been told would be really popular, but if you have any suggestions, leave me a comment - I'd love to know!

So, the reason why the blog has been so quiet, apart from all the Event prep, is that November is always the busiest month in our house.  Two of the children have birthdays just days away from each other and the father in law comes to visit for three weeks.

If you're looking for me around Perth, you'll find me either have coffee and cake with "grandad" or racing around buying party supplies!

Normal service will be resumed in a week or so's time, and I've got loads of lovely beauty products to share with you plus some more information on the Style High Teas will be coming through too.

Hope you're all having a great start to the month.

What's eating into your spare time at the moment?

  1. It was a beautiful and fabulous event. Thank you for including me :) Onwards to the next one, but in the meantime I hope you can take it a little easy!

  2. Such a fab afternoon. Of course there was no time for me to try on clothing for the next event, so I will be heading back in soon.

I love getting comments!
