Flipbelt Australia Review and Giveaway

Hands up who doesn't have a smart phone?  Anyone still playing snake on a Nokia flip phone?  I didn't think so.

I am the the recent proud owner of an iPhone 6+ - the latest oversized offering from Apple. Its awesome - the screen resolution is spectacular, as are the photos. I feel slightly self conscious whilst talking into this phone but apart from that I had no issues with my new baby at all until I decided to go for a run.

How I feel with my new iPhone 6plus

I always choose running pants or shorts with a little zippy pocket in the back and I make sure its big enough to fit my iPhone 5.  Know this - there are no running pants in the universe that will fit the equivalent of the iPhone and mini iPads love child that is know as the 6+.  Great excuse to not go for a run though - how can I possibly run without knowing whats happening in the Serialised life of Adnam Syed?

Enter the Flipbelt.  This really is the most useful piece of exercise kit I've ever come across.  It's like a stretchy lycra band with 4 slits into 4 pockets that hold everything really tightly.  You pop everything in, including your massive smart phone, then flip it over so everything is held tight against your body.  I've tried it out a few times now and it doesn't bounce, slip or twist around which is a problem I've had with other belts.  You could even use it for travelling to keep your important stuff safe (I'm an incessant "checker" when I fly anywhere and open my handbag dozens of times to check my tickets and passports are still there...).

How it works - too simple!

The Flipbelt is now available in Australia for $39.99 with FREE postage.  You can purchase them here, from their Facebook page or drop them a line on Instagram.

I'm so excited to be giving one of these away.  You can choose your size and colour and it's so easy to enter.  All you have to do is tell me in the comment here, or on my Facebook page, what you take with you when you exercise.  Too easy!  Entries close on 16th March.  Australian residents only.

I was gifted one of these fabulous flip belts and I'm thrilled to offer you the chance of winning one too.

  1. Would love to win myself one of these!! I usually carry my iPhone 6 (sure it's not a plus but it's still bigger than my old 4s), keys and also my drivers licence, when I go for my run.

  3. When I'm out running at the ungodly hour of 5.30am it's enough for me that I put my iPod on properly in my foggy, sleepy state let alone take my iPhone, keys and money with me ... To have a belt that doesn't fall around my ankles while I'm running sounds like an amazing and novel idea!!

  4. I take my phone and house keys. Anything else and my pockets would be dragging my pants down to my ankles.. (Bronwyn.)

  7. Every time I exercise I take with me my will to live, because I need that motivation to get back into shape. Sadly I've gotten to a point that, if I don't start taking better care of myself, there is a good chance that I'm not going to be around to see my kids grow up and have kids of their own. Sometimes heading to the gym to get some exercise is a great way of ensuring that the kids will live too, because when they are playing up I can go there to work off my frustrations (and any junk food that I've eaten too)!!

  8. I always take my house keys, mobile phone, credit card and Medicare card. Paranoid much? I think the exercise is going to kill me, so at least whoever finds me passed out will be able to hand my medical details to the ambulance men hahaha!

  9. Looks fantastic. I always feel like I take the kitchen sink with me when I head out and like you have a massive phone which I'm nervous about dropping.

  11. Oh this is perfect - I desperately need something like this - finally a stylish and cute alternative to an 80s bumbag!! I take my keys, phone, headphones, money and as I go for my walk/run after dropping the kids at school I often also have to carry some form that MUST be done by pick up time. This would make exercising so much more convenient!

  15. I've just discovered my love of running. When I'm running I'm holding in my hand a iPhone, keys and the earphone cord slack. I recently bought a belkin iphone 6 arm band but never used it as it makes me feel like a cardboard box robot, my arm is stiff and it's so big! I've researched the Flipbelt and I'm thinking it's the right accessorie for my needs. I take my phone for security and music but I'm scared I'm going to drop it soon. I have to have my music while running, it's the only time I get to listen to mY tunes, no Wiggles or Playschool on my exercise playlist.

  28. The product you link to is not Flipbelt but Fitube. Not great to rave review a product and then link it to a different product.

    1. Hi! Thanks for stopping by The Fashionable Mum and commenting - we love comments! This blog post is almost a year old and it would appear the Flipbelt have now rebranded themselves as FitTube, obviously I didn't know anything about that. However, I can say that it's a great product, regardless of what it's called.
