Fashion with a Heart - A Giveaway

Being a style blogger means that we get quite a few unusual requests for collaborations.  Some are cool, some are not.  I was recently asked if I'd be interested in collaborating with a corset company - you know the deal, I choose an item, wear it on the blog, you guys get to discover new stuff and the company gets publicity.  BUT IT'S UNDERWEAR!!! Errrr, no thanks.

Recently though, my cool-ometer ticked over to super cool when got in touch and asked if I'd be interested in hearing about their t-shirts.  Now, don't get me wrong - I love a great graphic tee as much as anyone else, but these tees are something special.  They are so incredibly cool, I'm not sure that I'm hip enough to rock one.

I chose black (of course I did) with a funky bird drawing on.  All of Daniel's t-shirts are designed by him and hand printed.  You can buy them online or you'll find him at the coolest WA markets like Mount Lawley and Kalamunda.

Skirt: Thrifted
Cardigan: so old I've forgotten wear it's from
Boots: Chloe wannabes from The Iconic (last season)
Clutch: Jessica Bratich

If you fancy a piece of Daniel's ink, the kids and babies t-shirts are incomparable cute - how can my photos possibly compare with this??!!

I had a chat with Daniel this week to find out a little more about him and his passions.

1. If you could have any celebrity wear one of your tees, who would it be?
Sheldon from Big Bang. We are going to try and reach out to him this year.

2. Congrats on passing your driving test - what was the first place you drove to?
First plac21e I drove to on my own was to my babas (grandmothers) house in Morley, it was a pretty nervous drive all the way from Darlington.

3. Your dad is a huge supporter of - do you make him wear your tees ALL the time?
Before we started "danielink dad" used to wear long sleeve shirts every day. Now he proudly wears one of my tees daily. He is a big fan but also loves getting good comments all the time.

4. Indian or Chinese food?

5. Tell us your favourite joke.
Don't really have a favorite joke. But Wil Anderson is one of my favorite comedians, he can tell a real good funny stories.

10% of the profits of all Daniel's sales goes to a charity close to his heart - The Centre for Cerebral Palsy in Western Australia.  Did I mention that Daniel has CP?  CP affects the muscles and is a permanent and life long condition.

Daniel is indeed an inspirational young man who lives life to the full.

If you'd like to win a piece of Daniel Pavlovic's wearable art, comment below and let me know who inspires you the most.  The answer I like the most will win a Daniel Ink T-shirt of their choosing.

(Competition closes on 7th March and is a game of skill.  Open to Australian residents only)

And the winner is.....Saraid Dammerel!!

My sister inspires me to keep my chin up when things get tough. Her husband was the victim of an unprovoked attack, and now has an acquired brain injury as a result. She tackles every set back that has come there way with so much determination, as well as working and being the mum of a toddler. She has shown me that we can get through far more than we sometimes believe possible

  2. Your sister sounds like an amazing woman, Saraid. Thank you so much for sharing.

  3. Wow what a cool brand. I'm not sure I can pinpoint one person that inspires me the most. Will put my thinking cap on and return with an answer.

  4. My daughter is my inspiration who was bullied and harassed at school for being different and now she is 24 and a personal trainer and buying her first house :)

  5. That combo looks great, I love the full skirt with the casual edgy tee!

I love getting comments!
