#TFMFIT - Where I Fall Down Hardest with my Fitness

How are your New Year Resolutions going?  I've been merrily keeping up with my early morning dog walks - it's not difficult to get out of bed when the sun's shining and there's a massive dog licking your chops at 5am.

For February, I'm going to be adding in some weight training to my low level cardio.  Once the kids are all back at school (small "yay!" from over here) I'm going to try and fit in a couple of runs, too.

One of my biggest failings is not drinking enough water.  I KNOW how important it is to down a couple of litres of the stuff every day but I nearly always fall short.  For the month of February, I'm going to try the following strategies:

  • Keep my 2 litres ready chilled in the fridge
  • Make sure I have a couple of lemons or limes ready to add to my water to fend off the boredom which leads to having a coffee instead
  • Try to recognise when I'm thirsty and drink water rather than eat something
  • Keep doing my Kegels - all that water has to go somewhere!

I'd love it if you'd share your fitness endeavours with me using the hashtag #TFMFIT - here are a few of the fabulous Instagrams that have been tagged this month.

  1. I'm not doing as well as I have been in this heat but I'm determined not to go too hard too fast or do anything that will set me back.

  2. Excited to make the Insta shout-out! I also blogged about the sheer impossibility of imbibing 2 litres per day . . . I find it impossible. And does anyone else have their water bottle hijacked by toddlers if they put it down??

  4. 2 litres of water is a lot isn't it!? I know I get nowhere near that amount drunk in a day but I like your idea of having it ready to go in the fridge, I'm going to try that!
