Fashionomics Friday Featured Fashionista - Rachel from Redcliffe Style

If there was one blog that inspired me to finally stop procrastinating and start mine, it was probably Redcliffe Style.  Rachel's laid back look, with a hint of boho made me realise that you didn't have to be publishing photos of your latest Celine or Jimmy Choo to have a great fashion blog.  Her down to earth looks have just enough individuality to make you think "why the heck didn't I think of wearing it like that?".

Redcliffe Style, though superbly fashionable is also a hoot to read thanks to Rachel's entertaining writing style - you have to check out her beauty blogs - they're awesome.

On to Rachel's Fashionomics tips - this girl knows how to find a bargain!

1.     What is your favourite online place to hunt for fashion bargains?
I love the Country Road outlet, Mimco and Metalicus. They always have great bargains.
2.     What has been your best buy so far this year and how often do you wear it?
My Just Jeans Boyfriend jeans. I would wear these a few times a week. They are getting more faded and ripped and that just makes me love them more.

3.     Save or Splurge – what item do you think it’s worth spending more money on and why?
Splurge! I love good sweaters and scarves. I would definitely invest in good quality cashmere pieces. Everyday Cashmere is my favourite sweater porn site and I’ve bought a few cashmere cardigans from Bohemian Traders too. These pieces will last forever :)
4.     With post Christmas sales on the horizon, give us your best piece of advice on how to shop for the best bargains.
Don’t buy anything you don’t need. I try to avoid the Boxing Day sales because I always panic, impulse buy and regret it.
5.     If you could give us one piece of Fashionomics advice to look great without spending the childrens’ inheritance, what would it be?
I hate to say this because I am the worst at this but wash your clothes according to instructions and use an iron. Well maintained, well presented clothes always look amazing.

  1. Love Rachel's style and confidence in front of the camera. As soon as I get the giveaways out of the road and I have five minutes to myself, I will come to the link up party. PS. I want that skirt you were wearing last night.

And you can't have my skirt, I plan on wearing it to every event I have between now and forever - who doesn't love a maxi with pockets?!!
