Fashionomics Friday - A round up of the early Christmas Sales!

Oh yes!  They've started already.  We haven't even pulled our first cracker or barbecued our first prawn and the Christmas Sales are upon us.  Not that I'm complaining, of course.  I love a good mooch through an online sale, even if I'm not actually going to buy anything.  I just love window shopping, so shoot me!

Here are my picks from my top five favourite online haunts (and yes, I spend far too much time putting things into the imaginary shopping bag).

There are so many good buys in The Iconic sale, I'm not even sure where to start.  So I decided to focus on handbags - because you can never have too many, right?

Spurr Aztec Clutch, was $39.95, now $8.10*.  Yep, you read that right!!!  What a bargain and a perfect summer clutch for teaming with a plain dress for a night out.

Spurr Rica Clutch, was $59.95. now $12.01*.  Woah, that's a lot of sparkly for twelve bucks!  A great statement clutch that's pretty timeless, too.  I may've just ordered this one.

You know how much I love Katies and you know how much I love a bargain!  I've picked my two favourite dresses from their end of season sale - both great buys and truly versatile pieces that'll fill a gap or two in your wardrobe.

Embroidery Maxi Dress, was $59.95 now $29.00*.  Everyone needs a black maxi dress or skirt in their closet and this one just adds a little extra interest with the cut-outs around the bottom.  Perfect for summer days and sling on a denim jacket when it turns a little cooler.

Ring Strap Hanky Dress, was $39.95 now $19.95*.  What a great, easy to wear dress to throw on after a day at the beach.  It's cute enough to wear with wedges, though for lunch out on a beautiful Perth summer day.  Really flattering and perfect for Christmas day to hide all those glasses of champagne you drank!

I'm not sure I've mentioned these guys on the blog before, but I used to shop here all the time in the UK.  The prices don't translate fantastically over here, but when the sales start, there are some fabulous bargains to be snagged.  Here are my two favourite pairs of shoes that I'd be snapping up - there's free shipping at the moment, too.

High Heel Mules, was $129.95 now $49.95.  I love the shape of these mules, particularly the elasticated vent at the side which would make them much more comfortable to wear than most mules.

Metallic Stacked Sandal, was $129.95, now $49.95.  A nod to the 70's here but I love these!  I'd be wearing them with my black maxi skirt and a denim shirt.

More shoes!  Some fabulous buys again over at Styletread - if you can bear to, these summer sales are a great time to pick up some bargains for the cooler months.  I've chosen my two favourite pair of ankle boots that I know would be on high rotation in my wardrobe come winter.

Crissy Taupe, was $189.95, now $79.98*.  I love a peeptoe boot and these are gorgeous, aren't they?  I'd be wearing these with pretty much everything.

West Black Hi-Shine, was $189.95, now $94.48*

I'm predicting a big "borrowed from the boys" trend for winter and the masculine styling of these high ankle boots would be perfect.  Ideal with skinny jeans or tailored trousers.

I do love Witchery but they are at the top end of my budget for most of the time.  However, their sales are nothing short of spectacular and I have bought some of my favourite wardrobe staples in them.  I've chosen a couple of tops that will work as great basics in your closet.

Tuck front shell top, was $59.95, now $29.95.  A really great, flattering shape on pretty much everyone and the viscose fabric will give it a great drape.

Cotton Shirt Dress, was $129.95, now $49.95.  This beautiful piece would work as a dress, or over jeans, or as a  beach cover-up, the list goes on.  Perfectly tailored with stylish seamed details, I would love this in my closet.

  1. I've been umming and ahhing about the Katies maxi dress and I finally managed to spend my $100 voucher from The Iconic with most items from their sales.

  2. I clicked through your affiliate link to the Iconic and ended up with an amazing pair of tan flatforms in my hands (and on my feet) the next day for under $30. This bargain was quickly negated by not one but two shoe purchases from Mimco, as well as two pretty bracelets in the rest of the week though. They have 20% off everything for the next three days!

    1. Nice scores, Beth and thank you so much for clicking on my link. Every little bit helps me grow my blog :) I'm going to check out the mimic sale this week....just research only though!x
