Fashionomics Friday Link Up || My south of the river Salvo Secret!

Today marks the first Fashionomics Friday!   I'm so excited to be hosting this link up and can't wait to tell you all about it.

I want you to link up your most recent boast, I mean post, all about a fabulously thrifty fashion find.  It could be your latest Kmart haul, or a Big W bargain, or a thrift store smash 'n' grab.  I want to see you sneaking style into the grocery budget.  Share your favourite local bargain boutique if you like or how you've repurposed an existing item into something new. Share, share, share!

I'm going to get the ball rolling with my first visit to probably the most unique Salvo store in Perth.

In the middle of an unassuming industrial area in Myaree sits a Salvo with big potential.  Robert, the store manager walked the Restyle runway with me back in September.  His enthusiasm and excitement about his store meant that a visit was definitely on the cards, even though I had to go SOUTH OF THE RIVER...GASP!

Robert Bachelor, Store Manager of Salvos Myaree and part-time model (just kidding, this is Robert rocking it on the Restyle Runway!)

Robert has spent umpteen late nights turning his Salvo into as close as a designer boutique as he can.  With donated visual merchandising and hand painted picture frames, the store looks reflects the quality of the goods.

With a big rack of designer ladies wear, Myaree Salvo is definitely worth a visit.  I spent a good couple of hours browsing the rack tried on items from Veronika Maine, Ralph Lauren and DKNY.  The rest of the store is filled with high end High Street items from Witchery, Cue, Country Road, Review and more.  I defy anyone to walk out empty handed.

I'd suggest you take a trip down to Myaree before the secret gets out and all the good stuff gets snaffled up.  Oh, actually, I guess I just let the cat out of the [designer] bag, didn't I?

Do you have a fabulous thrift store to share, or any other Fashionomics story?  Link up below and let's get the party started!

  1. There is no shame in my op shop game and I'm a regular at Savers! My best bargains so far would have to be a pair of possibly unworn but certainly very new Review black pants for $7.99 and a vintage leather handbag from a thrift shop in the Barossa Valley for $3.00.

  6. Love this link up Vicki.
WOW! What an awesome Salvos store. My Aunty used to work in a Salvos in a fairly 'good' area of the Gold Coast, and the amazing designer pieces that came in as donations blew my mind. Amazing treasures to be found.
