A challenge - 100 Day Fashion Fast

New starts always happen on a Monday, right?  The day of the week we promise ourselves that this week will be different - we'll eat better, sleep more, drink less, the list goes on.  For me, this Monday presents itself with a more unique challenge.

You see, I am challenging myself to a one hundred day fashion fast.  A whole one hundred days of non-shopping.  I will not be buying even one fashion related item (beauty is included in this too - I have enough lipgloss to paint the QEII).

At the start of the year, I ventured to profess that this year I would not buy as much "stuff" as I usually do - I would invest carefully and curate my wardrobe as a carefully as a fine art collector.  Of course, you can tell from some of my posts that this has absolutely not been the case and I have still shopped with the enthusiasm of a kid in a candy store.

It's got to stop - my closet is bulging at the seams.  My shoe cupboard has more heels than a dodgy wine bar, and my bathroom cabinet is in serious need of a beauty declutter.

So, this is it.  As from today, I will not purchase even one new thing for one hundred whole days.  It won't stop me window shopping, of course, or posting about new trends and the like because that is what I enjoy doing.  However, I will be wearing a lot more of the wardrobe I currently own and using up some of my vast beauty supplies.

Does anyone else feel like they could do with a fashion fast?
